Characteristics

  • Waxy, scaly, or crusty texture

  • Brown, black, or tan

  • Round or oval shape

  • Typically occur on sun-exposed areas and trunk

Treatment

  • Usually none needed

  • Removal for cosmetic reasons or irritation via cryotherapy, curettage, or shave excision
